09:43 pm: Been watching lots of 80s Who lately. Got to Earthshock. It has the worst science fail in any Doctor Who that I've seen. I quote:

doctor: fascinating
nyssa: so huge! What sort of creature had such bones?
tegan: dinosaurs
doctor: an amazing species!
[... contined dialog as if dinosaurs were a single species ... ]

i'm sure I knew that there were lots of types in 1982 and I was 3!!!

Hee. We've just started watching some classic Who here, beginning with Four, and since so far we've seen a blatantly toy tank shot in close-up to look like a full-size one in Robot, and a space station that's clearly made of about three bits of plastic junk painted white in Ark In Space, I doubt that dodgy science is going to be top of my fail list.

I think I've become inured to all that. And the technobabble. But this really stuck out like a sore thumb - on a level with confusing the galaxy with the solar system, which also happens from time to time.
